White City, Sask. Receives $7M to Build a New Wastewater Treatment Plant

The federal government and the government of Saskatchewan have each committed to contribute up to $7 million for a new wastewater treatment plant will serve the residents of the communities of White City and Emerald Park, just east of Regina, Sask.

WCRM158 Wastewater Management Authority will be responsible for all remaining costs of the project, which has a total eligible cost of $21.3 million.
The new treatment plant, when built, will use an effective and low-energy treatment process, and will enable future residential and commercial development. A Request for Proposal was issued in January and closed earlier this month.
